An alarming discovery has emerged regarding a social media account connected to a secondary school on the Gold Coast.
The Instagram account, operated by unknown individuals, categorises teenage girls from “abduction material” to “average” and even “unrapeable”.
The girls featured in the Instagram stories are all Foxwell State Secondary College students in Coomera.
Upon learning of this distressing revelation, parents were notified by the school, prompting immediate action from Queensland Police, who initiated an investigation.
Expressing her dismay, one mother shared her emotional reaction with 9News, stating, “I was really emotional, you see it happen to other people and you think no way is this going to happen to your kids. I’d like to see these people, the kids that are doing it thinking it’s a bit of fun, to be held accountable.”
In response to the incident, the Department of Education has condemned the posts as vile and launched a comprehensive investigation.
The department has made it clear that any state school student found responsible will face consequences for their actions.
