Two Redland City State Emergency Service (SES) Unit volunteers, Anne-Marie Bennett and Tim Willis, have been awarded state honours.

Awardees
Anne-Marie, an SES volunteer since 1998, became the Redland City SES Unit’s first female team leader and currently serves as a Leading Field Operations Officer, playing a key role in recruitment and training to promote gender equity and empower members.
Anne-Marie’s passion for first aid has led her to establish a robust training and mentoring program in this field, where she has been actively mentoring women in the Redland City SES Unit for over 25 years, resulting in an increase in female volunteers to over 40 within the unit.
Since 2014, Tim has been an integral member of the Redland City SES Unit, serving as a Leading Field Operations Operator and providing support to members locally and beyond as a Peer Support Officer (PSO), where he also serves as the PSO Coordinator for the Brisbane Region, playing a pivotal role in strengthening the PSO network.
The Redland City SES Unit is set to commence recruitment for new members in April.
