Queensland operators sparkled in the 2023 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, winning 14 awards including five gold, seven silver, and two bronze.
Australian Tourism Awards for Queensland
More than 180 prominent tourism operators, including 21 from Queensland, competed for top accolades in 26 categories at the industry’s foremost event, hosted at the Darwin Convention Centre.
Major Awards won by Queensland
- Major Festivals and Events Award went to Queensland’s iconic Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers
- Whitsunday’s Ocean Rafting took the title of Best Adventure Tourism.
- The Reef House Boutique Hotel and Spa in North Queensland won the gold for the 5 Star Luxury Accommodation Award.
- Fun Over 50 Holidays got the gold in Ecotourism
- BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort took top honours for Caravan and Holiday Parks.

- Rockhampton Regional Council – Tourism Marketing & Campaigns
- Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary – Major Tourist Attractions

The awards received support from Qantas as the returning naming rights sponsor, along with Tourism Australia as the Platinum Sponsor, and Host Partners including the Northern Territory Government and Tourism NT.
