The Redland City Council is happy with the Queensland Government’s commitment of $15 million towards the development of the multi-level car park in the Weinam Creek Priority Development Area (PDA), describing it as an encouraging initial step.
Over the last decade, the Council has persistently urged the Queensland Government to collaborate on establishing a park ‘n’ ride facility at the Weinam Creek ferry terminal, aligning with the government’s TransLink services.
Recently, Redland Investment Corporation, acting on behalf of the Council, finalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Consolidated Properties Group, designating them as the preferred development partner for the construction of the multi-storey car park and accompanying retail precinct within the Weinam Creek Priority Development Area (PDA).
