Police are appealing for information about a two-vehicle crash in Rural View on Tuesday, April 30.
The incident occurred at about 7.20 p.m. at the intersection of Eimeo Road and Carl Court, where a Ford Ranger utility and a Suzuki Swift collided head-on.
The Ford Ranger ended up in a ditch, and the passenger, a 37-year-old Beaconsfield man, tried to flee but was tracked down by the Dog Squad in nearby bushland.
He sustained a dog bite during arrest and was taken to Mackay Base Hospital. He was later charged with obstructing police and appeared in Mackay Magistrates Court last May 1.
The driver of the Ford Ranger, a 24-year-old Mackay woman, was unharmed but was arrested and charged with dangerous driving while under the influence of an intoxicating substance, and driving without a valid license.
The driver of the Suzuki Swift, a 26-year-old Dolphin Heads woman, sustained arm injuries.
