Titans skipper Tino Fa’asuamaleaui faces the rest of the 2024 season on the sidelines following an ACL rupture sustained against the Bulldogs in Round 3.
The Gold Coast club confirmed the sad news on Sunday.

“The Titans can confirm Tino Fa’asuamaleaui will miss the remainder of the 2024 season after scans revealed the captain to have ruptured his ACL in Saturday’s Round 3 clash against the Bulldogs,” according to the club’s statement.
Skipper Tino Fa’asuamaleaui left the field during the 66th minute at Belmore Oval on Saturday afternoon as his team suffered a 32-0 defeat, marking their second loss of the season.
He is now on the Gold Coast‘s injury list alongside Jayden Campbell with a knee injury and David Fifita with a pectoral injury.
His absence will also be a blow for Queensland, Fa’asuamaleaui is a key player in the Maroons’ lineup.
In 2023, the star athlete signed a monumental 10-year contract valued at a reported $12 million, marking the most lucrative deal in rugby league history.
According to NRL Physio, Fa’asuamaleaui’s recovery and rehabilitation process may require a minimum of nine months of rehabilitation.
