In a formal ceremony a couple of days ago at the 500 Pavilion in Mackay Showgrounds, the newly elected Mackay Regional Council officially took their oaths of office.
Mayor Greg Williamson, alongside 10 councillors, solemnly pledged their commitment to serving the community, administered by council’s CEO Scott Owen.
The event marked a significant moment for Mackay, as the newly constituted council assumed its responsibilities in guiding the region’s future.
