The World Poker Tour (WPT) is returning to The Star Gold Coast for the 2024 edition of WPT Prime Gold Coast.

From April 11 to April 23, 2024 WPT Prime Gold Coast offers an extensive events lineup with various formats and poker variants, attracting Australians and visitors to the Gold Coast alike.
Compared to last year’s 14 events, this year’s schedule has expanded to 21 numbered events along with numerous satellites, culminating in the A$2,000 WPT Prime Championship.
Huge attendance for this year’s WPT Prime Gold Coast
In the first WPT Prime Gold Coast Main Event, Yang Lei emerged victorious among 895 competitors, securing A$201,755 ($141,413).
The following year, Sheng Ye claimed victory in a field of 1,224 entrants, earning A$374,953 ($253,264).
The upcoming 2024 WPT Prime Championship at The Star Gold Coast anticipates an even bigger turnout, with a buy-in of A$2,000 and satellite options starting from A$290.
High Rollers Challenges
Alongside its appeal to high rollers, the WPT Prime also offers the $5K Challenge, which is back for 2024, with Angel Guillen reigning as champion after defeating Aussie legend Joe Hachem heads-up in 2023.
Additional high roller events in the lineup comprise a A$3,000 Pot Limit Omaha High Roller, a A$19,100 NLHE Super High Roller, and a A$10,000 NLHE High Roller.
