Following its success across Queensland, the award-winning early intervention program “Project Booyah” by the Queensland Police Service has now welcomed its first group of participants in Toowoomba.
Project Booyah
This month marked the start of the 16-week program for the first group of students, engaging in adventure-based learning, employment, and leadership activities aimed at fostering better life decisions.
Through activities such as abseiling, high ropes, and obstacle courses, participants enhance self-esteem and resilience, supported by guidance and mentorship from police.
Additionally, they receive assistance in developing leadership, social skills, literacy, numeracy, and job-seeking abilities, along with scholarship opportunities.
Graduates emerge equipped with the skills necessary for employment or further studies.
