A nine-person board, with expertise spanning health, community services, and business, has been appointed to oversee the Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service (HHS).
New Appointments for Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service Board
Shannon Fentiman, Minister for Health, Mental Health, and Ambulance Services, as well as Minister for Women, announced the appointment of the new board, headed by Dr. Dennis Campbell, who has moved from the position of Deputy Chair to Chairmanship and is actively engaged in various committees within the local community.
Bringing extensive experience within the Queensland healthcare system, Dr. Dennis Campbell, formerly holding chief executive positions at Toowoomba’s St Vincent’s Hospital, Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital, and Maryborough Hospital, has been acknowledged for his significant contributions to health services. Joining him is the newest addition to the Board, Merrilyn Strohfeldt.
