Toowoomba Regional Council’s newly elected Mayor and Councillors will be sworn in during a special ceremony at Toowoomba’s City Hall today.
Mayor Geoff McDonald, alongside Councillors Rebecca Vonhoff, James O’Shea, Melissa Taylor, Kerry Shine, Gary Gardner, Tim McMahon, Carol Taylor, Bill Cahill, Edwina Farquhar, and Trevor Manteufel, will be officially sworn in prior to its Statutory Meeting of Council today.
Mayor McDonald expressed his gratitude for the honour of being elected to represent the community, emphasising the responsibility it comes with.
The Swearing-In Ceremony, scheduled for 9:45 am, will serve as the first formal gathering for the newly elected Council, providing an opportunity for them to unite and share the moment with loved ones.

Following this, the Post Election Meeting of Council will commence at 12:30 pm in the Toowoomba Council Chambers, open to the public and available via livestream at https://toowoomba.civicclerk.com.au/web/home.aspx.
