Griffith University Art Museum Wins Best Exhibition Catalogue at 2024 AWAPAs

Griffith University Art Museum (GUAM) has been awarded Best University Art Museum Exhibition Catalogue for Chantal Fraser: The Ascended at the 2024 Art Writing and Publishing Awards (AWAPAs), hosted by the Art Association of Australia and New Zealand (AAANZ).

The accolade was announced during the 2024 AAANZ Conference held in Canberra, with judges Dr Joanna Barrkman and Dr Katrina Grant commending the exceptional quality of the publication produced by the GUAM team.

The award highlights Griffith University Art Museum’s dedication to high-standard publishing. It celebrates its work by showcasing Chantal Fraser: The Ascended, an exhibition that explores identity, culture, and transformation through contemporary art.

This recognition further cements GUAM’s reputation as a leader in art publishing and exhibition curation within the university sector.
