FISHER set a new record for Australia’s biggest beach party by performing to a crowd of 30,000 at Coolangatta Beach on May 4.
The popular Australian DJ returned to his roots on Saturday to launch his new festival, Out 2 Lunch, with a lineup featuring top electronic artists including Brazil’s Vintage Culture in his Australian debut, alongside Flight Facilities, Little Fritter, and Shimmy.
In a Friday interview with 7 News, FISHER couldn’t contain his excitement, saying, “I can’t wipe the smile off my face. I’m really pumped, and I can’t wait for everyone to have fun on the beach. I’ve been waiting for this day all my life. It doesn’t get much better.”
On Saturday, crowds swarmed the sold-out festival as FISHER played his biggest hits, including his fresh collaboration with J-Lo, “Waiting For Tonight,” and his chart-topping track “Losing It.”
Fans were encouraged to be part of the action by filming themselves singing and jumping during the set, with a chance for their clips to be featured on the big screen by sending them to the festival’s official account.
