Documentary Australia, in collaboration with Screen Queensland, has announced the six recipients of the 2024 SheDoc grants program and all are from Queensland.

The grant is dedicated to making stronger women’s voices in documentary storytelling
SheDoc 2024 aims to empower female documentary filmmakers by nurturing diverse perspectives on women-centric issues and fostering creative and leadership aspirations.
This year, the program exclusively spotlights Queensland talent, providing a platform for recipients to enhance their career trajectories and national profiles.
The six Queensland-based female filmmakers recipients are:

Kate Boylan Ascione
Nu’utea Marie Lea Robillot
Sasha Parlett
Mags Scholes
Veronica Fury

The recipients will benefit from the professional development support, with individual funding ranging from $10,000 to $30,000.
