Six individuals have been charged with firearm and drug offences following the conclusion of Operation Victor Secretive, a major investigation into drug trafficking on the Gold Coast.
The operation, led by detectives from the Crime and Intelligence Command Organised Crime Gangs Group, came to a close after search warrants were executed at residences in Surfers Paradise and Biggera Waters over the weekend, and a vehicle was intercepted in Bundaberg.
Authorities allegedly discovered six firearms, including an iPhone handgun, two shotguns (one shortened), two rifles (one shortened), and a pen gun, along with ammunition, during the searches.
Large quantities of dangerous drugs, such as cocaine and methylamphetamine, and significant amounts of cash were also reportedly found.
The extensive investigation, which began in September 2023, involved officers from the Logan and Gold Coast Major and Organised Crime Squad (MOCS) and Maxima.
They were assisted by the Gold Coast Rapid Action Patrols and Bundaberg CIB.
The operation was initiated based on information received from the public.
